The highest mountains loaded with treasure,
Could never compare, or even measure,
To my mother’s love.
Like the wings of a dove, so peaceful and pure,
Wrapped in her arms, I feel so secure.
How much she has suffered, I will never know,
Her patience and kindness as she watched me grow.
For those times I have been like a thorn in her side,
Oh Allah, forgive me if I shamed her pride.
No one in the world could care for me this way.
And when she held me, squeezed me tight,
And when she comforted and kissed me goodnight,
Those everlasting memories in my heart will stay,
When I pray for my beloved everyday.
But as seasons come and seasons go,
Her youthful face has lost its glow.
And now when I look to my mother I see,
The most marvellous woman who has sacrificed for me.
A fragrant rose, embedded in my heart,
The strongest love, impossible to depart.
The most pleasurable debt that I could repay,
Is to cherish and care for her everyday.
Oh mother, with your tender touch,
Oh mother, I love you so very much.
My heart aches, imagining how life would be,
When she no longer shares this planet with me.
