Asalamualykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.
Today I am going to talk about death. Death is a reality which no one can deny or argue about. There have been many predictions and claims made by man but no one can claim Immorality nor the time of ones death. When we come to this world Allah gives us specific time period as for how long we are going to live in this world. Not 1 second less or above the one can live. So when some one dies and we say it was not his/her time to die (if it was a 5 year old child, a 16 year old kid, 21 year old youngster or a 50 year old mature) we are wrong. It was their time to die. Also some times people say he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. That is not true either. If it is your time to die you either die in a plane crash or sitting in your bed watching TV.
Another thing very important is “Time Of Death”. As no one can predict it so we should always live our life as it is our last day. Most of us including me, we think when we reach 40/45 then we can start thinking about our DEATH and AKHIRAH, but the reality is much more harsh. We realise it when some one close to us die young. Then we start thinking that this could happen to us but why should we attach our realisation and mind change to some ones death. The truth is in front of us but still we want to escape/ignore it some how.
One thing a Muslim should never be afraid of is death. For not to be afraid one has to be a good practising Muslim. If some one puts a gun to your head and ask to beg for your life, just remember 1 thing. If it is your time to die nothing will change his mind and if its not your time then no one can take your life. As life and death is in Allah’s Hand. If you are a good Muslim you will think I prayed today, I gave some charity and so on, you will look at your DEATH in the eye with a smile on your face. On the other hand if you are in a pub having drinks and some one comes over with a gun threatening to kill that will be the worst moment of your life. ISLAMIC SAYING “THE REPENTANCE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT THE TIME OF DEATH”. It will be too late and the person will have a disappointing, shameful and painful death. So make your mind today. Do you want to die with a smile on your face or have a shameful and painful death. This will effect our every day life and will urge us to keep away from sins and bring our selves close to Islam and Allah.
When we hear the news of some ones death, we should always say. “Inna lillahi wa inna elaihi raje’oon”.( To Allah we all belong and to Him we will return). It is ok to feel sad and to cry but we should not go beyond. Allah is the one to give SABAR (Patience) so ask Him for it. Also you can read this DUA if you loose some thing. It will help you find it (my personal experience Allah never fails). Thanks Ya Allah. Also read this DUA if you want to get some thing but you are unable to do so. Allah will give you better. Thats a promise. So this DUA is very useful.
When we die what is the most important thing for us. Our bank balance, our beauty, our house or cars, family, think what ever you like but all this is useless and gone. It will not be of our use any more. The only 3 things which will benefit us are: The Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) taught that three things continue to benefit a [believing] person even after death – charity which he had given (which continues to benefit others), beneficial knowledge which he had left behind (i.e. authored or taught), and supplication on his behalf by a righteous child (Narrated by Saheeh Muslim). So this shows us to prepare for after life we should give regular CHARITY(ZAKAT/SADQA/KHAIRAT) and try to change some ones life for better. Secondly the KNOWLEDGE OF ISLAM we have spread either by teaching Muslims or giving out messages to our non Muslim brothers and sisters. So it is very much recommended and inspiring to spread the message of Islam. The third thing is RIGHTEOUS CHILD. If you bring up your kids to the teachings of Islam and they become good Muslims then this will help you getting blessings and good deeds even after your death. 1 example I want to give here is when we read SALAAT/NAMAZ, we read the DUA “Rabbi ja alni” and in this dua we say “O Allah please forgive me and my parents” (this is a part of dua we read in every prayer), so if our kids are praying 5 times a day they will read this Dua at least at least 5 times and you will be rewarded a higher place in Jannah/Paradise every time it is read. So please my brothers and sisters in Islam make sure you give your children the teachings of Islam and make them a good Muslim. Its your responsibility and a path to Jannah.
I hope this note is useful and may Allah Guide us all to the right path. Aameen.
All good in this NOTE is from Allah and mistakes are by me. JazakAllah!!!
