..:: O Allaah! Let us reach Ramadaan ::.. [Written & Sent by: Saadiqah Sualeh]
O Allaah! Let us reach Ramadaan!
Allaahumma Ballighnaa Ramadaan!
The Month in which Prophethood was given to Muhammad,
Peace be upon him.
The month in which Quran
was revealed to him.
O Allaah! Let us reach Ramadaan!
Allaahumma Ballighnaa Ramadaan!
The Month in which,
Gates of Heaven are Opened.
The Month in which,
Gates of Hell are Closed.
O Allaah! Let us reach Ramadaan!
Allaahumma Ballighnaa Ramadaan!
The Month in which,
Devils are Chained.
The Month in which,
We learn Self-Restraint.
O Allaah! Let us reach Ramadaan!
Allaahumma Ballighnaa Ramadaan!
The Month of Siyaam,
The Month of Qiyaam.
The Month of having Blessed food Suhoor,
The Month of sharing our Iftaar.
O Allaah! Let us reach Ramadaan!
Allaahumma Ballighnaa Ramadaan!
The Month of Blessings,
The Month of Mercy.
The Month of Caring,
The Month of Charity.
O Allaah! Let us reach Ramadaan!
Allaahumma Ballighnaa Ramadaan!
The Month of Dhikr,
The Month of Qur’aan.
The Month of Sabr,
The Month of Ghufraan.
O Allaah! Let us reach Ramadaan!
Allaahumma Ballighnaa Ramadaan!
The Month of attaining,
High Level of Taqwa.
The Month of making,
Loads of Du’aa.
O Allaah! Let us reach Ramadaan!
Allaahumma Ballighnaa Ramadaan!
The Month of Buliding,
Our Emaan.
The Month of Striving,
For Ikhlaas and Ihsaan.
O Allaah! Let us reach Ramadaan!
Allaahumma Ballighnaa Ramadaan!
The Month of I’tikaaf-
Worshiping Allaah in Seclusion.
The Month of Lailatul Qadr-
A Night better than Thousand Months.
O Allaah! Let us reach Ramadaan!
Allaahumma Ballighnaa Ramadaan!
The month in which,
We leave all acts of Sins.
The month in which,
We increase all acts of Worships.
O Allaah! Let us reach Ramadaan!
Allaahumma Ballighnaa Ramadaan!
The Month in which,
The Reward of Umrah is equal to Hajj.
The Month which,
We don’t Wish to end Ever.
O Allaah! Let us Ramadaan.
Allaahumma Ballighnaa Ramadaan.

..:: I Often Think When I Might Sin ::.. [Written by: MyummahCoZa]
I often think when I might sin,
What if the Angel would come to me then?
Would I want to be risen doing that sin?
I often think quietly to myself,
Where will I go, oh, where will I go,
When the Angel comes to me?
What if the Angel comes at night,
With a command from Allah to take my soul?
Where will I run, oh, where will I run?
What if the Angel comes to me when I’m driving my car?
Can I lock my doors, so the Angel can’t get in?
Where will I hide, oh where will I hide?
I often think when I might sin,
What if the Angel would come to me then?
Would I want to be risen doing that sin?
I often think quietly to myself,
Where will I go, oh where will I go,
When the Angel comes to me?
What if the Angel comes in the middle of tea?
Maybe I can plead for a later return.
How will I plead, oh, how will I plead?
What if the Angel comes to me when I’m watching TV?
Can I beg to the Angel for a little more time?
How will I beg, oh how will I beg?
I often think when I might sin,
What if the Angel would come to me then?
Would I want to be risen doing that sin?
I often think quietly to myself,
Where will I go, oh, where will I go?
When the Angel comes to me?

So many tears
And unknown fears
These racing thoughts, the mind won’t clear
But the One High Above is Here
Always near
With His Might & Power
He can change and repair
The Only One Who truly cares,
And comforts me;
“Do not despair (39:53),
I am All-Aware (60:1)
The Disposer of All-Affairs (6:102)
I am near I answer the prayer (2:186)
Call upon Me (40:60)
Put your trust in Me (11:123)
The All-Mighty (59:24)
Verily! I am Allah! (20:14)
There is no God but He (6:102)
The One & Only (112:1)
So Worship Me (20:14)
Such is Allah your Lord in truth (10:32)
The All-Knower of everything (6:101)
Then high above all be Allah, The true King! (20:114)
…Able to do all things (35:1)
The Lord of the Supreme Throne (23:116)
I created not the jinn and mankind except that they worship me (Alone) (51:56)
Who created death and life… to test which of you is best… (67:2)
Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest (13:28)
Allah is the Comforter (2:257)
The Giver of Peace! (59:23)
With Hardship comes ease… (94:6)
So worship Me, and perform As-Salat (prayer) for my Remembrance (20:14)
Seek help in patience (2:45)
To your Lord (alone) turn (all your) intentions and hopes (94:8)
And hold fast all of you together, to the Rope… (3:103)
Call upon Me (40:60)
Put your trust in Me (11:123)
Do not fear them but fear Me (2:150)
Call upon Allah… (17:110)
By whatever name you call upon Him (17:110)
For to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names (17:110)
…Let not this present life deceive you and let not the chief deceiver deceive you (35:5)
Do not follow the footsteps of Shaytan (24:21)
Treat him as your enemy… (35:6)
Do not despair of My Mercy (39:53)
…The Most Merciful (39:53)
I have perfected your religion (Deen) for you (5:3)
Completed My favour upon you (5:3)
And have chosen Islam as your Deen (5:3)
Allah Loves those who are pure and clean (2:222)
Truly Allah Loves the good-doers (2:195)
And whatever of blessings and good things you have, is from Allah (16:53)
If you are grateful, I will give you more… (14:7)
Verily! My promise is true (35:5)

..:: The Illuminous Friend ::.. [Written & Sent by: Kolchuma Begum]
You say I’m your best friend,
But you’re more than best friend of mine
Because you rescued me from the darkness and took me into the light and mercy of Allah.
Allah showed me the path of Right,
By guiding me through you.
So when you think you have no purpose in life,
Just remember Allah,
And He’ll show you His Greatness.
He showed this to you,
By helping to find myself,
Just by showing me who you are.
You helped me to shine into being the person I am,
For the love you have for Prophet s.a.w.s,
Inspired me to love him so.
And you’ve shown me the love,
Which I’ve never seen before,
As Allah has given you that love,
To let that love grow.
You’re like a star,
Shining in the peaceful sky,
Whilst among others,
Whom I see after you,
For you are the light, which Allah has given me,
So that I keep my focus on the truth.
Never forget the person you are,
As you are a person with innocence and purity,
And the one who has a heart filled with true beauty.
So may Allah shower you with His Blessings and Mercy,
And may He give you Happiness and Peace for all of eternity.

..:: A RAY OF HOPE ::.. [Written & Sent by: Aroosha Arif]
Your soul was shivering and face turned blanched
Striking your windows, was that storm minacious?
Why were there pearls sprinting down your cheeks
Bruising your heart, was that eye malicious?
Having intimidating faith, hell becomes oasis
The rubble of troubles, is turned into pleasure
You’ll break the ground, ask those black days
Of yours bravery, there’s no measure
For your wasted gems, there are diamond’s treasures
beyond your ruined dreams, never get bedeviled
Hold steadfastly the rope of your Creator, because
His affection for you can’t be evaluated

..:: Sacrifice Of A Small Beauty ::.. [Written by: Ismaeel de Silva Hijazi]
The Flower of a Mercy Raised Up,
Destined to receive that golden cup,
A draught of bittersweet you did sup,
To rouse the heedless and lift them up.
Dead before death,
In your heart nothing left,
Just the presence of your breath
And to all men deaf.
Can’t they see, don’t they understand,
That this struggle is not for who rules the land,
What do you have to do with rocks, earth and sand,
When all of you is in His Hand.
They weep, they plead,
“You cannot win, you can’t succeed,”
To them all you pay no heed
They can’t follow where you lead
To the land, soil reddened now and then,
To remind the souls of boys and men,
Of the sacred month day ten,
Shadowed by this lowly pen.
You stood upon your simple mat and spoke softly with your Friend,
They claimed the same, but would not a drop of water lend,
What did they think that after this they could make amend?
And say “He knows what it is that we intend.”
They took their swords and to your body they did their worst,
In darkness they earned the whole worlds curse,
That same of which all their hopes had nursed,
But Your Soul was taken to be with the First.
The shore less sea, the sweet never-ending gardens, the palaces of the certain,
All thorns are gone, no more disaster, for you there is no curtain.

What is Islam ?
Poem written by : Maymoonah MS Adly
“What is Islam?” is the question you ask.
Answering this question is every Muslims task.
Describing Islam can be a lot,
But first I’ll tell you what Islam is not.
Islam is not Faraqan and terrorism.
Nor is it oppressing women and racism.
Islam doesn’t teach these things.
On the contrary it forbids them.
Islam isn’t focused on selling news papers and bean pies.
It’s not about drinking goats milk and having many wives.
Most people think Islam is just a religion.
But, it is actually a detailed way of living, prescribed by Allah, the merciful, the forgiving.
Peace, submission, and morality,Respect, kindness and charity.
And worshipping one God, the All Mighty, This is Islam.
It demolishes the cloudiness and confusion in our brains.
Faith in God is one thing Islam sustains.
It makes clear our purpose of life, beginning and end.
People take our wealth and freedom, but our faith we must defend.

In the Name of Allah
Poem written by : Velma Cook
In the name of Allah we are born
In His name we live
and in His name we die
Our shadows prostrate to their Creator morning and evening
without our consent
Birds and animals usher in the times of prayer
Birds circumambulate the Ka’ba
while migrating birds stretch forth their wings
finding their way by Allah’s Mercy
Only to feel unrest and leave once more
ever-searching, traveling discontent until they die
We, also wander
some blindly
while others see

The Straight Path
by Akmal Hasan
Narrated : Abdullah ibn Mas’ud
MISHKAT AL-MASABIH
No: 0166
Allah’s Messenger (peace_be_upon_him) drew a line for us and then said: That is the path shown by Allah. Then he drew several other lines on his right and left sides and said: These are the paths on every side of which there is a devil calling towards it. He then recited this verse: `Verily this path of Mine is straight so adhere it.’ (5:167)
Transmitted by Ahmad, Nasa’i and Darimi.
THE STRAIGHT PATH.
He Rasulallah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wassalam) once drew a line,
The man so great so sublime.
And he (sallallahu ‘alaihi wassalam) said, “This is my Path”
All other trails obtain Allah’s Wrath.
And again he drew some more lines joining that line
A devil sitting on each of these, calling people to join.
So people, never jaywalk leaving the True Way.
If you do, your own soul you betray.
Such an easy and clear path he showed
The Mercy of Allah on which is bestowed.
So dear people why should one stray?
When the road to success is before us lay.
This Straight Path of Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wassalam) is our only way,
All other alleys, short cuts, trails etc goes astray.
Hold on with your molar teeth on this path was his advice,
Only fools ignore it, and the one that heeds is wise.

Narrated: Hudhayfah
SAHIH AL-BUKHARI
No: 9.386
Hammam narrated that Hudhayfah said, “O Group of al-Qurra’, follow the straight path, for then you have taken a great lead (and will be the leaders), but if you divert to the right or left, then you will go far astray.”

>>> Choice <<<
Poem written by: Maymoonah MS Adly
I see you doing wrong,
You say you’re not so strong,
To fight against shaytan.
Your evil desires drag you along.
Mankind and jinn have one thing in common.
They differ from Allah’s other creation.
The animals, trees, birds, bees and everything existing,
fallow Allah’s decree.
As people you and I should agree,
That we all have the ability ,to choose.
Allah show us right.
Allah shows us wrong.
He gives us a brain, a mind.
Now its up to us to choose,
what we have to do.
If we choose to do right,
Allah will give us guidance,
And bring us into the light.
He would grant us everlasting paradise and delight.
If we chose to do wrong,
Evil will turn us down a road of darkness ,confusion, and frustration.
A road that leads to a terrible destination.
The fires of hell are wicked and mercyless.
Only you could put your self in this.
The choices you make,
The things you choose,
must not be taken lightly, must not be abused.
Everyday every hour every minute of your life, You’re making choices.
What will I wear?
What will I say?
Should I say anything?
Should I sit here?
Or talk to them?
Or eat this?
Or buy that?
Allah will ask us: what did we sing,learn,watch,say and do?
“Why did you lie?” “Why did you curse?”
“Why did you wear that tight skirt and shirt?”
Did Allah not give you all all that you need?
So that you must commit sins and bad deeds?
There is no excuse for the evil you do.
Do not talk foolishness when you know the truth.
You cannot lie to Allah.
He knows all that you do.
If you love Allah fully and true,
Try your up most to please him,
and pray for him to be pleased with you.

OPERATION DEATH
—————————————
Written by: G.H.E Vanker
It was early in the morning at four.
When death knocked upon a bedroom door.
“Who is there?” the sleeping one cried.
“I’m Izrael, let me inside.”
At once, the man began to shiver,
as one sweating in deadly fever.
He shouted to his sleeping wife,
“Don’t let him take away my life.”
“Please go away, O Angel of Death!
Leave me alone, I’m not ready yet.
My family on me depend, give me a chance,
O please prepense!”
The Angel knocked again and again,
“Friend! I’ll take your life without a pain,
It is your soul Allah require,
I come not with my own desire.”
Bewildered, the man began to cry,
“O Angel! I’m so afraid to die
I’ll give you gold and be your slave.
Don’t send me to the unlit grave.”
The man held a gun in his right hand,
ready to defy the Angel’s stand,
“I’ll point my gun, towards your head.
You dare come in, I’ll shoot you dead.”
By now, the Angel was in the room,
Saying, “O Friend! Prepare for your doom.
Foolish man, Angels never die,
Put down your gun and do not sigh.”
“Why are you afraid? Tell me, O man,
to die according to Allah’s plan?
Come, smile at me, do not be grim,
be happy to return to Him.”
“O Angel! I bow my head in shame,
I had no time to take Allah’s name.
From morn till dusk I made my wealth,
not even caring for my health.”
“Allah’s commands I never obeyed
nor five times a day I ever prayed.
A Ramadan came and Ramadan went
but no time had I to repent.”
“The Haj was already fard on me
But I would not part with my money.
All charities I did ignore
Taking usury more and more.”
“Sometimes I sipped my favorite wine
with flirting women I sat to dine.
O Angel! I appeal to you spare my life for a year or two.”
“The Laws of Qur’an I will obey,
I’ll begin Salat this very day.
My Fast and Haj, I will complete,
and keep away from self conceit.”
“I will refrain from usury,
and give all my wealth to charity,
wine and wenches I will detest,
Allah’s oneness I will attest.”
“We Angels do what Allah demands,
we cannot go against His commands.
Death is ordained for everyone,
father, mother, daughter or son.”
“I’m afraid, this moment is your last,
now be reminded, of your past.
I do understand your fears
but it is now too late for tears.”
“You lived in this world, two score and more,
Never did you, your people adore.
Your parents, you did not obey,
hungry beggars, you turned away.”
“Your two ill-gotten, female offsprings,
in night-clubs, for livelihood they sing.
Instead of making more Muslims,
you made your children non-Muslims.”
“You ignored the Mu’athin’s Athaan,
nor did you read the Holy Qur’an.
Breaking promises all your life,
backbiting friends, and causing strife.”
“From hoarded goods, great profits you made,
and your poor workers,you underpaid.
Horses and cards were your leisure,
money-making was your pleasure.”
“You ate vitamins and grew more fat,
with the very sick, you never sat.
A pint of blood you never gave,
which could a little baby save.”
“O human, you have done enough wrong,
you bought good properties for a song.
When the farmers appealed to you,
you did not have mercy, ’tis true.”
“Paradise for you? I cannot tell,
undoubtedly you will dwell in hell.
There’s no time for you to repent,
I’ll take your soul for which I’m sent.”
The ending, however, is very sad.
Eventually the man became mad.
With a cry, he jumped out of bed.
And suddenly, he fell down dead.
O Reader! take a moral from here!
You never know, your end may be near.
Change your living and make amends,
for heaven, on your deeds depends.

..:: I’M TOO BUSY ::..
Everyday as I wake up at dawn
My mind start working the moment I yawn
There were many things to do, o dear!
That’s why I hastily did my Subuh prayer
I didn’t have the time to sit longer to praise the Lord
To me rushing out after prayer is nothing odd…
Since school, I had been busy every minute
Completing my tutorials and handing it in
My ECAs took up most of my time always
No time did I have to Allah to pray
Too many things to do and zikir is rare
For Allah, I really had no time to spare..
When I grew up and started my career
Working all day to secure my future
When I reached home, I prefered to have fun
I chatted on the phone but i didn’t read the Quran
I spent too much time surfing the Internet
Sad to say, my faith was falling flat…
The only time I have left is weekends
During which I prefer window shopping with friends
I couldn’t spare time to go to the Masjid
I’m too busy, that’s the BIG EXCUSE…
I did my five prayers but did so quickly
After prayer, I didn’t sit longer to reflect quietly
I didn’t have time to help the needy ones
I was loaded with work as my precious time runs
No time at all to visit a sick Muslim friend
To orphans and elderly, I hardly lent a hand
I’m too busy to do community service
When there were gatherings, I helped the least
My life was already full of stress
So I didn’t counsel a Muslim in distress
I didn’t spend much time with my family
B’coz i thought, doing so is a waste of time…
No time to share with non-Muslim about Islam
Even though I know, inviting causes no harm
No time to do Sunnah prayers at all
All these contribute to my imaan’s fall..
I’m busy here and busy there
I’ve no time at all, that’s all I care
I went for religious lessons, just once in awhile
Coz i’m too busy making a pile…
I worked all day and i slept all night
Too tired for Tahajjud and it seemed not right
To me, earning a living was already tough
so i only did basic deeds but that’s not enough..
No time at all, to admire God’s creation
No time to praise Allah and seek His Compassion
Although I know how short is my life
For Islam, I really didn’t strive..
Finally the day comes, when the Lord calls for me
And I stood before Him with my Life’s History
I feel so guilty b’coz i should have prayed more
Isn’t that what a Muslim lives for?
To thank Allah and do more good deeds
And the Quran is for us all to read..
Now at Judgement Day, I’m starting to fret
I’ve wasted my life but it’s too late to regret
My entry to Paradise depend on my good behaviour
But i’ve not done enough nor did proper prayer
My “good deed book” is given from my right
An angel opened my “book” and read out my plight.
Then the angel chided me….
“O You Muslim servant, you are the one,
Who is given enough time, yet not much is done
Do you know that your faith is loose?
saying “no time” is only an excuse.
Your “good deed book” should be filled up more
with all the good work you stood up for..
Hence, I only recorded those little good deeds
As I say this, I know your eyes will mist..
I was about to write some more, you see
But i did not have, THE TIME to list”…….
THE END..

..:: The One, Alayhi Sallatu Wa Salam ::..
The bold, the strong, he is the one to whom the Ummah belongs,
The Sunnah is the path that should be followed along,
Along his path, nothing should go wrong,
Wrong, that will prevent us from rejoicing with him in Jannah for long,
Muhammad Sall Allahu Alayhi Wa Salam, the highly praised.
The wise, the bright, the one with the noble character,
He did not sit watching life pass by,
But no, he sacrificed until every molecular step was worth the pain and the struggle,
Just so he could build the foundation of Islam, Iman and Ihsan,
Mustafa Sall Allahu Alayhi Wa Salam, the chosen.
The sincere, the trusted, the one who set the way of guidance in our hearts,
The one who brought and taught Allah’s kitab,
From the day we were born, our ears have been filled with his passion for us,
Thus, he is the special one, who we anxiously cannot wait to see,
Rashid Sall Allahu Alayhi Wa Salam, the well guided.
The warner, the caller, the one who left the Sunnah and Quran, so we stay away from haram,
The one who presented the highest example through his qalam,
Before Allah Almighty, he set his mission to complete Islam,
To him, proudly and loudly we send our blessings and salam,
The One, Alayhi Sallatu Wa Salam.

..:: O Single Muslim! By UmmGhareebah – ::..
O single Muslim!
How chaste are you!
While others engage in haraam and fulfill their desires,
You shun the many calls to sin,
For fear of the hellfire!
O single Muslim!
How modest are you!
While others are ‘alone’,
They loose their fear of Allah,
But alone or not, you lower your gaze,
Refusing to look at haraam!
O single Muslim!
How sensible are you!
While others waste away their hours watching bollywold flicks,
You spend it worshipping Allah,
Fasting and increasing in ilm!
O single Muslim!
How devoted are you!
While others memorize lyrics to the latest songs,
You make an effort to memorize duaas and Quran!
O single Muslim!
How upright are you!
While others foolishly throw Quran and Sunnah to the side,
You strive to learn and implement them both into your life!
O single Muslim!
How blessed are you!
While others gossip,
And partake in useless matters,
You spend your time reflecting,
And preparing for the herafter!
O single Muslim!
How aware are you!
While others fall for the first person who plays the sweet card,
You know the tricks of shaytan,
And remain constantly on guard!
O single Muslim!
How steadfast are you!
While others loose their modesty and dignity along the way,
You remain chaste and honorable,
And your sabr only increases each day!
O single Muslim!
How fortunate are you!
While others rack up sins for forming illicit relationships,
You gain reward from Allah for your trials and hardships!
O single Muslim!
How intelligent are you!
While some make marriage their ultimate goal,
You know it’s only a means,
To reach the final abode!
O single muslim,
How wise are you!
While others desire spouses,
With only beauty and riches,
You desire an upright person,
With good character and religion!
O single Muslim,
How successful are you!
While others spend their time in grief,
Regretting their foolishness and haste,
For your steadfasteness and patience:
Allah grants you one of His most righteous slaves!
And O single Muslim,
How honored are you!
While others who lived in sin,
Will be humiliated on Qiyamah,
You will be granted honor and shade,
On the Day when there is NO shade,
Except under the throne of ALLAH!

Stay in your bed, don’t make a fuss.
Your prayers can wait, give in to your nafs.
What! Go to the mosque, the path you’ll pave?
Don’t bother, think of the gas you’ll save.
Why go the extra miles to be kind?
Don’t share that smile, they won’t mind
Listen to your parents, why should you?
You’re big enough, don’t let them tell you what to do!
Don’t look at those orphans, what could they need?
You have your own problems, and family to feed.
Wear good hijab? Oh me, Oh my, you’ll be targeted as a Muslim and put to shame.
Just wear no makeup, and dress simple and plain.
Go for Jihad? No not you.
It’s not your problem, what can you do?
Don’t worry about Jannah, your place is reserved.
I promise you’ll get all you deserve.
Preach about Islam, and be nice?
Listen to me, and take my advice!!!
Don’t fast during Ramadan, you’ll feel dead.
Don’t go for Hajj, the heat you’ll dread.
Why give charity, or feed the poor?
Don’t do it I say, They’ll just ask for more.
Don’t visit the Muslims, they’ll bite your back.
Don’t stop your work for prayer, it’s money you lack.
Then he makes you hoard your wealth.
He thinks while he talks, and laughs to himself.
You take me as your friend, and don’t give me a fight.
I’ll take you to hell to gain respite.
On the judgement day we will meet.
Allah’s plan we can not defeat.
Shaytan thinks and thinks of more to say.
Say A’ oothoo billahi, and make him run away.
Dear believer, don’t let shaytan put you to the test.
You can overcome him, just do your best.

..:: A Man’s Trail ::..
This is the story of an average human
From his story there is so much to learn
“I work through life working day and night
Let me tell you of my miserable plight
Before that, let me thank Allah Most Merciful too
That’s why I’m sharing my story with you
From young I was told I had to be the best
I must learn to score for my exams and tests
I studied hard to be the top in class
So that my friends will respect me with all the fuss
In my youth days, I was actually insecure
So much temptations and many are impure
I prayed sparingly but it didn’t help me
Why couldn’t I feel that Allah was watching me?
I wanted to be the cream of the cake
I didn’t allow myself to make a single mistake
I wanted more friends and also be praised
When I didn’t get complimented, I felt so dazed
I began to doubt myself again and again
Was I not good enough or was I insane?
I was feeling inadequate for my lack of looks
Was I too fat, short, or did my smile give the spooks?
I learnt to dress up in trendy clothes bought from stores
I wanted people to look at me and say ‘wow’ in awe
I wanted to be adored, praised and be popular
Success to me is to be top scholar
I wanted to shower myself in fame
I also hoped to earn a big name
I studied hard and topped my school high
I believe that to make friends, success is a tool
Whenever I was with friends and my date was just beside
I felt the pressure to display my witty side
I’m afraid my friends would leave me if I’m not nice enough
So I bought them gifts and other good stuff
Branded clothes, car, intelligence and friends indeed
You may think I have all that I need
But I’m still unhappy inside and I don’t even know why
Was I not good enough, too ugly or too shy?
At work, I pleased my boss to show him I was the best
I treated my colleagues lunch and sacrificed all my rest
I was afraid that my boss disliked me if I lazed about
In front of him, I did my best and tried to stand out
Then I climbed the corporate ladder and be my own boss
Finally, I was successful but I was still in a loss
I was cheerful outside but scared inside
I was not even sure what I’m doing is right
I looked around to see all my best friends
I wonder if they still like me if my wealth ends?
I cannot bear to face rejection or even fail
If I become poor and old, will my friendships be stale?
I work hard, but who am I trying to impress?
The fear of losing my reputation is causing me stress
I want friends to respect me forever and ever
I could imagine my friendship to sever
But alas! My business failed me terribly
I was down with illness and suffered painfully
All the people whom I thought were faithful friends
Left me because my status has no stands
I’m left alone and wonder whether it is true?
To make good friends, wealth matters too?
I looked at the side of my bed and saw the Qur’an
Guilt enveloped me because the Qur’an I have read none
Since I was alone and feeling so bored
I explored the Qur’an to know about Allah the Lord
True Muslims friends start to befriend me
It doesn’t matter whoever I’ll be
They accept me and love me despite my flaws
I don’t have to make them like me by using force
I don’t have to impress Allah with my witty charm
I already know Allah loves us and protects us from harm
With Allah’s help, we can attain peace in self
So let’s put doubt back in Satan’s shelf
If there are problems with work and with men
Please remember that it’s part of Allah’s plan
Ask from Allah because He listens to us always
Allah will help us with His Kindness and Grace
I met a man who is unfortunately blind
He then advised me with words so kind
He said, ‘Love yourself and be grateful for what you are
You owe it to Allah for coming this far
Allah loves us and makes us Muslims
But many people don’t appreciate it, it seems
It doesn’t matter if we’re poor or earn less
Allah loves who we are and He cares
Don’t do good deeds if you do it for show
Or else your spiritual status will sink below
If you’re humble, do good deeds and pray to Allah Most Wise
You can earn yourself a place in Paradise
Good Muslims overcome worries and insecurity
They are unfazed even if they are treated with hostility
Why be a slave to affluence and glamour?
Why worry if we are not witty with humour?
Always be yourself, dear brother, have no pretence
Allah will still love you, even if you don’t have any fans
Why be afraid, dear brother, when friends shun away
When Allah is there for you it’s always that way.’
After the blind man left, my mind started working
I was still surprised and truth starts coming
It seems that I may be a boss or lying here poor
but good Muslims greet me with salaam, a smile and no fear
I kept wondering, what is success to me?
Is it about having friends, or earning a good degree?
I had all these and yet I was not satisfied
Could it be because that Allah was not on my side?
Then I realize that I have been foolish
My INSECURITY is the one that was my leash
Why was I ungrateful to Allah Most Great?
Allah’s helping us all the way as Fate
Oh! I’m ashamed for being so proud
When my success was actually a passing cloud!
Now I realize my great big mistake
So I do more good deeds now with sincerity and no fake
Let’s learn from this life and tread the virtuous road
Remember that this world is only a temporary abode
Now I live through my life devoted to the Islamic cause
And repent, so Allah will love me despite my flaws.”
Remember true success is not about having lots of friends
In fact, it is about passing Allah’s tests
Happiness is not about showing off your generous part
In fact, it’s about the ATTITUDE of your heart
Say: ‘I like who I am and I’m glad to be me
I love being a Muslim and Allah sets my heart free!
I can feel in my mind and in my little heart bone
I confess – with Allah around, I know I’m never alone’.

..:: Sacrifice Of A Small Beauty ::..
Written by: Ismaeel Hijazi – UK
The Flower of a Mercy Raised Up,
Destined to receive that golden cup,
A draught of bittersweet you did sup,
To rouse the heedless and lift them up.
Dead before death,
In your heart nothing left,
Just the presence of His Breath
The shore less sea, the sweet never-ending gardens, the palaces of the certain,
All thorns are gone, no more disaster, for you there is no curtain.

..:: Teen Crush ::..
Written by: Ahmed
(This poem refers to the haram relationships that young Muslims may be ensnared into by the shaytaan.)
O young Muslim
I hear your story, so grim
You have given your heart
To a teen crush, soon to depart
The time will soon come for it to end
Tears, remorse and regret it will send
Deep emotions of anger and hurt
As you feel like a piece of dirt
But why do you fail to see
Allah has given you this opportunity
To turn away from this detested sin
Repent, and start a new beginnin’
From lewd behaviour become shy
Seeking forgiveness from Allah, do cry
Remove from your heart the lust dirty
And instead put love of Allah in your breast plenty
For this is the path to success
Jannah, the Muslims eternal address!!

..:: Who is the Greatest of Mankind? ::.. [Written by Naima]
Who is the greatest of mankind?
The finest creation with the most excellent mind
The one who conveyed justice, peace and understanding
In a land with nothing outstanding
In a land full of idolatry, fornication and murder
Only one man could prove this would go no further
Sent with a message so true and pure
He possessed the knowledge which was a cure
A cure to the diseases that kills everybody’s core
The diseases of ignorance, arrogance and more
A person who never uttered a lie and was recognized as a truthful man
Where neighbors began accusing him of lying again and again
He was attacked physically and was extremely defamed
Harming the best of creation yet they did not feel ashamed
O praised one; it is not you who they do not like
It’s the beautiful message which they try to strike
So stay strong and tall
For you are the best of them all
The reassuring words gave him strength to continue on with his day
One by one, his people started converting to the right way
Until everyone around the land submitted
Submitted and repented for all the sins they committed
With just his beautiful character and amazing smile
Others would love and follow him without hesitating a while
The only man who united all in great waves
United the rich with the poor, the kings to the slaves
He brought happiness to the land until his heart beat its last
This was a death that no one will ever let pass
The earth was flooded with tears of people who dislike liked him before
And now there was no other man they loved more
Who is the greatest of mankind?
The finest creation with the most excellent mind
He is the praised one, the kind one, the beautiful one
The prophet and messenger of Al-Wahid, The One
His name is Muhammad Ibn Abdullah
May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him

.:: Sins Of The Tongue ::. [Written by Ahmed]
You think its cool to be a clown
And with the girls/ guys you fool around
Without a thought for your Lord
The mouth opens, tongue like a sword
With a few fast words
You cut to pieces those silly ‘nerds’
They stand stunned and humiliated
In their hearts they are disgusted
While you laugh at them aloud
Standing with your friends all proud
O fellow Muslim, be careful of what you say
For soon will come Judgement day
Those whom you did wrong
Will come to Allah along
Justice they will seek
That day you will be the geek
From your good deeds they will transfer
And when you have no more left to give another
Then upon you will be placed their sins
Soon after your eternal life begins
To hellfire you will be shown
And deep inside you will be thrown
O Muslim,
Change now whilst you have the chance and time
Resolve to commit not with your tongue this crime!

..:: A Talk With the Self ::.. [ Written by: Kamal el-Mekki]
Oh my self what will calm you?
Can’t you remain patient for a day or two?
I try to contain you but your strength overpowers,
But when we die life will seem like hours.
So can’t you be patient for part of a day?
And remain steadfast upon the straight way?
The direction you’re taking leads to my worst fears,
Of the day we stand for fifty thousand years.
No one will joke nor talk nor smile,
And the sun from our heads will be at a mile.
Nowhere to hide and nowhere to flee,
Standing for what seems an eternity.
Then the judgment begins and the books will land,
Either on your right or your left hand.
Oh my self …
Do not become like those who left the right track,
And put their left hands behind their back.
Oh self, how do you plan to cross the sirat suspended in the air?
Craftier than a fox, sharper than a sword and thinner than a hair?
How do you plan to cross? Or will you cross at all?
The blink of an eye? Run? Or would you rather crawl?
The bad deeds you command will drop you from it,
And only good deeds put you back upon it.
Oh self, it’s a five hundred year-drop suspension,
Over a terrible place I’d rather not mention.
Oh self…
Do not be fooled by this world and its illusions,
And keep in mind judgment, the grave and other conclusions.
Oh self, wake up! Don’t follow your desire!
And ask for forgiveness to avoid the fire!
Oh self, keep the commands and avoid prohibitions,
And pay close attention to these admonitions.
Be amongst those who were the best of planners,
Who prepared for the future with good deeds and good manners.
Oh self it simply about your control,
Being patient now so as to reach your goal.
I don’t mean to put a burden, or put much stress,
Just to warn of a day when the limbs confess.
Sins add up as you live through the years,
Then sadness won’t save you and nor will the tears.
Every time you sin the Shaytan is winning
So remember the One against Whom you’re sinning.
Oh my self…
Life is short and ends when you least expect it,
And then what will you say when you’re resurrected?
The angel of death overlooked you and took the souls of your brothers,
And one day he’ll come to you and overlook others.
For great rewards plant the righteous seeds,
Oh Allah, I seek refuge from the evil of my self and from the evil of my deeds.

.:: I am a Muslim, but Only by Name ::. [Written by a Sister]
I am a Muslim, but only by name
When it comes to practicing, what a shame!
I go to friends and relatives in suit and tie
It’s alright if I occasionally lie.
Yes I practice, BUT when it suits me
Or more to the point, when it pleases society.
If I show my ankles, they’ll point and laugh
They’ll think it’s too short and reckon I’m daft.
If I trim my moustache and grow the beard
They’ll reckon I’m a fanatic or something weird.
If I wear the sunnah I’ll get great reward
But the Kuffaar will look down on me, that I can’t afford.
Yes I’m a Muslim, but only by name.
I make excuses which I admit are rather lame.
Yes I’m a sane man and I’m on the right track
Who am I kidding, I feel like a right jack!
To hide my inferiority complex I protest it’s unimportant
Though my heart screams to tell me I’m a blatant fraudulent
The best thing is no-one can hear what’s going on inside
People think I’ve got it made and with my life I’m satisfied.
But I’m afraid this is a fable and it’s a pure deception
I have no peace of mind but this I daren’t even mention.
If I remain ignorant it’s OK, ‘cos then I don’t have to practice
Yes I’m conniving and these are baseless evil tactics.
But I read the Kalima and I think I have Imaan
I can’t help my attitude – I was placed in a Kufrstaan.
Yes I’m a Muslim, but only by name
And with my precious life I’m playing a foolish disastrous game!

.:: Imagine Your Death! ::.. [Author unknown]
Imagine yourself after you pass away
Imagine your grave through night and through day
Wishing that you did not do as they say
Wishing that you had got up and had prayed.
Imagine, my friends, the day that you died
Imagine all of the tears that they cried
Remember how it felt when your body was tied
Remember how it felt in the grave which you lied.
Imagine the day you’ll be called to account
Imagine the sum to which your life will amount
Think for a moment of the deeds which you mount
Think for a moment how much they will count.
What will they say of you when you are dead?
What will they say, what will be said?
Will they speak of all the poor who you fed?
Will they remember all the Qu’ran that you read?
Think not of them, but of Allah, Lord of mankind and jinn
Think of Allah when tempted to sin
Think of the paradise which you will dwell in
Don’t wait till later to think what might have been.

:: Funny Isn’t it?:: [Written by a Sister]
Funny how long a couple of hours spent at the Masjid are,
but how short they are when watching a movie.
Funny how a twenty-pound note looks so big when you take it to the Masjid,
but so small when you take it to the market.
Funny how long it takes to do Zikr for an hour,
but how quickly a team plays 90 minutes of football.
Funny how we can’t think of anything to say when we pray,
but dont have difficulty thinking of things to talk about to a friend.
Funny how we get thrilled when a football game goes on into extra time,
but we complain when Taraweeh, during Ramadaan, is extended more than the regular time.
Funny how hard it is to read a chapter of the Qur’aan,
but how easy it is to read a 100 pages of the best selling novel.
Funny how we believe what the newspapers say,
but question what the Quran says.
Funny how people want to get front seats at any game or concert,
but rush to get a back row at Mosque so they can exit out fast.
Funny how we need 2 or 3 weeks advance notice to fit a Mosque event into our schedule,
but can adjust our schedule for other events at the last moment.
Funny how you can spread a thousand ‘Jokes’ through e-mail and they spread like wildfire,
but when you start sending messages regarding Allah Ta’ala, people think twice about sharing it.
Funny how everyone wants to go Heaven,
but fail to make the least effort to achieve it.
“Funny isn’t it…?”

..:: My Way Back ::.. [Written by Ameena Ansari]
There was a young girl,
She loved Allah.
She didn’t know why,
Just how much.
She talked to Him when she was lonely,
Knowing He was the One and Only.
Why, she wondered, do people fight?
When everyone knows what’s right?
Why do those who should love each other,
Lie and manipulate their brother?
She thought of Allah as her best Friend,
And knew He’d listen until The End.
She wanted to please Him and do what’s right,
and be surrounded by His light.
But as this bud grew into a flower,
She realized people too have power.
Power to cloud your way of thinking,
And soon she felt her Iman sinking.
Although on the outside she went along,
On the inside she was still strong.
She knew Allah was just waiting,
For the right time for her awakening.
Alhamdulillah, the love for Him was always there.
Although it was in need of repair.
One day she decided to make her Hajj.
And make Allah her only Judge.
So a New Muslim she became,
And again began to praise His name.
I thank Allah from the bottom of my heart,
And thank the Teacher that gave me my new start.
May Allah bless you, you know who you are.
You have my Dua, whether I’m near or far.
“Ya Allah, keep me on the straight path,
And not the way that earns Your wrath.
Forgive me for the mistakes I’ve made,
Let me walk with patience, on the path You’ve laid.
Help keep my intention to please only You.
And keep my Iman as it was, when I was new.”

..:: Life Long Servitude! ::.. [Written by: Qalamuddin]
It is amazing how Allah treats a Muslim
A Muslim’s life should be a dream
The little servitude to show our gratitude
Is rewarded by Allah in countless magnitude
Imagine praying through the whole night
But not doing all your might
With just a short congregational Fajr prayer
You are considered to have done a night endeavor *
In fasting the same principle sticks
A month of Ramadan plus another six
The reward is just like fasting a whole year**
Doesn’t this make you happy to hear?
Now what will you say
No amount of money can pay
When the whole night and year
You are in life long servitude and that’s clear
Small deeds big rewards
Not just mere worldly awards
It is Allah’s ways –
So Muslims do not sway.
But do Muslims take our chances
The many opportunity opens without punches
Allah has given a place in heaven
For Muslims – that’s the best of tavern
In the little deeds we do
And the servitude too
Open doors to our salvation
Just to it! Without reservation
Such a beauty of Islam
The matter others slammed
Coz they do not understand
In Islam small matter is grand
Just a smile is considered a charity***
Where can you get such clarity?
Only in Islam with certainty
Start small with dignity
Now the information has been passed
Don’t wait act fast ****
It won’t take much of your time
Given the rewards all should be fine
* Uthman bin `Affan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying: “One who performs `Isha’ prayer in congregation, is as if he has performed Salat for half of the night. And one who performs the Fajr prayer in congregation, is as if he has performed Salat the whole night.” [Muslim]
** The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have said, “Whoever fasts the month of Ramadan, and then follows it up by (fasting) six days of Shawwal, it is as though he has fasted the whole year.” (Reported by Muslim)
*** The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Charity is prescribed for each descendant of Adam every day the sun rises.” He was then asked: “From what do we give charity every day?” The Prophet answered: “The doors of goodness are many…enjoining good, forbidding evil, removing harm from the road, listening to the deaf, leading the blind, guiding one to the object of his need, hurrying with the strength of one’s legs to one in sorrow who is asking for help, and supporting the feeble with the strength of one’s arms–all of these are charity prescribed for you.” He also said: “Your smile for your brother is charity.” – Fiqh-us-Sunnah, Volume 3, Number 98
****The Prophet also said: “Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.” – Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 589
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.” – Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 604
The Prophet also said: “Every act of goodness is charity.” – Sahih Muslim, Hadith 496

..:: Repentance ::.. [written by: Memo Memoty – Iraq]
Isn’t it the time to repent
The time to ask forgiveness
It is enough the time we spent
On bad things.. On sins
Sins are not going to let us enter the heaven
And in the day of judgment we ll feel shame
And we cant look at the merciful Allah even
And there would be no one to blame
Do it now while time you still have
And dont tell later on i ll try
No one will be usefull for you.
Even who you love
When your destiny come.!
When you die
Let us come back to the most mercifull Allah
For He won’t reject us if we asked for al- samah

..:: A SERVANT’S PLEA ::.. [written by: Asma Sadia]
Standing before You, I beseech You O’ Lord,
You are my only, my only one God!
Hands devoid of deeds and eyes filled with tears,
You are the only One, aware of all my fears.
I am such a slave, who is weary to ask,
To prostrate before You seems a big task.
Lazy a slave I am to recite a single verse,
I beg You to pardon me and save me from Your Curse.
As I get drawn into the whirlpool of desire,
Greed, envy and pride now becoming my attire.
Save me, O’ Lord! As I tread on this path,
Now is not my worry, my fear- the aftermath!
Guide me O’ Lord before I am a failure,
Show me the truth as truth and the error as error.
Make me O’ Lord how You desire me to be,
Grant me wisdom and joy, understanding and mercy.
Leave me not alone even for a blink of an eye,
It is easy for me to sin, no matter how much I try.
Be with me O’ Lord until the Day of Decree,
Accept this invocation as a humble servant’s plea!

..:: Life is a Journey ::.. [written by: Shohima Chowdhury]
I’m trying my Best
I don’t want to Fail
Life is a test
My Boat sets to Sail…..
I see Everyday
My life as a Journey
I hope and I Pray
Heaven to be my Gateway
Money and Accessory is just Material
Only an Illusion
This world nothing but Unreal
We live and we Die
Then we live once Again
This world we live In
We suffer much Pain
But the promise is Clear
The promise of Jannah
We aim for it
and that’ll be Greater
Life is a Journey
& I wonder at the Sky
To our Lord we will return To
This is no Lie
Yesterday has Gone
And today is Here
But tomorrow may not Come
And the Angel maybe Near
This is more Wise
A constant Reminder
This is in my Conscience
God is all Knower
He is the Supreme
& Created You & Me
He is Magnificent
& we should worship Thee
He showers His Blessing
For that we should be Grateful
He gives us More
God is all Powerful
To Him we turn To
For Him we Sacrifice
He will reward Us
That will be Nice
I continue my Journey
Through difficult Situation
Inshaa-Allah I’m Successful
Until I reach my Destination
I look forward to meet Him
I long for that Day
For Heaven I will aim For
For Eternity I shall Stay
But for now I must
Continue to Strive
Through Patience and Prayer
Whilst I’m still Alive
So come Brothers and Sisters
Lets help one Another
Your chosen as Muslims
Your reward is in Hereafter
War will Increase
Until you love your Neighbour
Hatred will Decrease
Once you seek Allah’s Favour
He truly Loves Us
Do not Anger Him
The Enemy will Whisper
Do not give In
Stop what your Doing
And reflect on your Life
Why are you Here?
Why all this Strife?
So you go on a Journey
You sail on a boat
Then a wave suddenly hits You
But amazingly you’re Afloat
That is a wakeup Call
That is a Sign
That is Allah
A True Divine
You continue with your Life
And Allah Tests You
The time will Come
If only you had a Clue?
You take a Path
But where-ever you May Be
There is No escape
& Allah can See
How will you Answer
How will you Do?
What will be Destined?
If only you Knew
Give up these temptations
Seek for Repentance
The Enemy Will Seek You
His will be the Sentence…..
This world will Perish
This world will End
Time is an essence
How will you Spend?
Choose the right Path
And control your Desire
The Enemy will Deceive You
Which is The Ultimate Liar
Allah created us for a Specific Purpose….
….To worship Him only an absolute Decree!
So seek the Truth and Inshaa-Allah…..
You shall be Free….

..:: Born as a Muslim ::.. [Written by: Ifrah Muslimah sisterhood]
I was born as a muslim but was that just a name
Did I know how my religion came
Was I too busy with getting fame
Yes, I know I should be ashamed
I was born as a muslim but did I know what was expected from me
Did I know I had the key
Was I too blind to see
What was in front of me
I was born as a muslim but did I take my religion for granted
Havin fun is all I wanted
Music was blasted
Did I know all this would be accounted
I was born as a muslim but did I know I was gonna die
Even without sayin goodbye
When ALLAH swt was mentioned did I cry
Not bein honest always sly
Did I ever ask myself why
Wearin jeans showin my thigh
Thinkin I looked fly
Wonderin why the good guys always go by
But only getting looks from bad guys
I was born as a muslim but did I respect my mother
Knowin that there was no other
Jannah lies between her feet
But was I sweet
Or did I take a backseat
Just lyin there on my bedsheet
Thinkin my life is complete
Nuffin to regret or nuffin I was wishin to delete
I was born as a muslim but did I only need ALLAH in bad situations
Was I worshipping the creator or the creation
Did I forget my obligation
No to the masjid but yes to the train station
Willing to go to any location
Was I lovin these temptations
I was born as a muslim but was that just a name
Did I know how my religion came
Was I too busy with getting fame
Yes, I know I should be ashamed

..:: Confessions of a Sinner ::.. [Written by: Mohammed Bashar Shamshad]
Idled around watching the TV
Keeping up with each song and movie
I kept on with each latest style
Forgetting that i will be soon on trial
I had been a good singer and a good dancer
Now Answerable, but unable to answer
Even though my Lord asked me to refrain
I did all that lead me to hell fire and pain
I see those smiling faces, their results in their right hands
Why was i following actors and stupid music bands
Why did I keep non mahrems as my friends
Why did I forget the rules and follow immodest trends
Why did I do stuff forbidden in my religion
I sadly stand now in the disbeliever’s legion
Ya Allah I was a muslim yet I rarely did pray
I committed indecency and I went astray
I talked and mingled with the other sex
I lied, betrayed and made my life complex
I was a hypocrite, did good for fame
Ignored your message, when to me it came
The Holy Quran, I rarely did read
To all those warnings, I took no heed
I troubled my parents in their old age
Abused and Yelled at them in my vain rage
I lived for the worlds’ luxury and its vain vanity
Late did I understand that it was pure insanity
I was given chances, which i took for granted
Now I have to reap what I have planted
I am responsible for this painful aftermath
I blindly followed on Satan’s wrong path
Please don’t throw me into the depths of hell
With fiery flames and each horrendous smell
Boiling water and pus to quench ones thirst
The Many Punishments, each worse then the worst
Satan mislead me to each wrongful desire
And lead me closer and closer to Hell fire
I walked on as satan misguided me and grinned
Ya Allah! I beg You for mercy as I have sinned
Forgive me for my sins and for being ungrateful
Forgive me for standing in league with the unfaithful
Forgive me and Make my soul pure and beautiful
Bestow mercy on me, You are the Most Merciful
I am Your creation, Your servant of humility
You are the Lord of the worlds, The One, The Almighty

.:: BUT NOT IN THIS WORLD… ::.. [Written by: Aieyesha Sonika, Delhi, India]
Ya Allah…
what a mean world this is
people have made it a curse
but once it was bliss
nobody has time for others
they are not selfless anymore
whether they’ll be there the next moment
it’s not sure
so many hurt n lies
false love n broken promises
the heart is bleeding
with blood filling the crevices
as a child it used to be so beautiful
as time passed by
it became so ugly n dismal
now i wonder what dreams for life i had
everyone says- ‘grow up’
it makes me mad
Ya Allah…
please accept my prayers
n forgive my sins
grant me heaven
where the real life begins
grant me true love
loyal friends
wonderful family
beautiful roads on which i can walk blindly

..:: A Journey Towards Successful Life! ::.. [Written by: Aafreen Muslimah]
My soul has been crushed,
And my heart was grieved.
My dreams were dead,
And my hopes were dashed.
All alone i weep over my fate,
and lead myself from darkness to light.
I try to find someone to hold my hand,
And yearn for loverily lands.
It’s difficult to shine in darkness,
but silent tenacity leads me to brightness.
It’s hard to believe in wonders,
But sincere prayers held me to happiness.
Journey toward success is tough,
But still i have courage to strive..
Oh Allah! I strugle hard for jannah..,
And my love for You is strong and high.
Alhamdulillah! My life strive hard for Jannah!!

..:: BEYOND THE BOUNDARIES!!! ::.. [Written by: Sister Rania Mahmood]
Beyond the boundaries of the world,
Here I am,
Took myself in, and made the door slam.
Whatever I may seem to them,
All that matters is what I am to Him.
No one is aware,
What the truth is,
He knows it all,
He won’t miss.
From above He watches me here,
I know He is always with me and I shun the fear.
Beyond the boundaries of the divine,
Here I stay,
He is my courage who shows me the way.
It’s my true self to the world I lay,
I have faith of His support,
And I know He won’t take away.
Yes, He is there up, watching each and every action of mine,
He hits me there and pulls me up,
Whenever there is a bent in my spine.
Beyond the boundaries, of my own,
Is my faith,
I know the trick to melt the hearts of stone.
I have a big heart and mind,
That I did hide,
But there is a boundary around me,
To overlap it so much I’ve tried.
Yet, I have hope in my heart,
He will be helping me as He did from the start.
He waited for me to do as He says,
Now I follow Him,
And wait for Him to guide me through the ways.
Beyond the boundaries of my soul,
Here I am,
With the faith that He will raise me up,
Handing me a lamp.
I open myself to Him,
And know He will guide me with a glim!
I love you O Allah!
And will always thank you through salah,
InshAllah!

..:: Redha Illahi ::.. [Written by: Sniz Arashi]
Dear Allah,
Once, my Heart was pure,
As pure as the driven snow,
Everything was a Bliss,
Cherished by the sweet smile of Mother,
Pampered by the merciful eyes of Father,
Grown up with lucid Love, Unconditional Love,
No worries, No risks, No miseries,
I’m blessed.
Dear Allah,
It was such a fulfilling Life,
All my wishes became Reality,
I lived in a fantastic Fantasy,
Mother is my Sun, Lighten my Wonderful World,
Father is my Moon, Shining my patulous Paths,
Not knowing the words ‘Sin’,’ Regret’ and ‘Truth’,
I kept smiled, chuckled and rejoiced,
I’m pleased.
Dear Allah,
The Present leaving the Past.
Now, My pure Heart is blacken,
As black as the negritude night,
The damn devils whispering sweet lies,
The dreamy desires spreading blights,
The loathsome lust rotting my Heart,
The World, the flesh and the devil,
I succumbed.
Dear Allah,
I’m living with mountains of sin,
My ignorance is beyond words,
No Time for praising You, Zikrullah
Delaying the Must, Prioritizing the Lust,
Repaying Your kindness with arrogance, Sinful
I can’t taste the Sweetness of Iman,
I keep breathing in sins,
I’m lost.
Dear Allah,
Please forgive all my past sins,
I despise all my ill deeds, Truly
Please save me from astray,
Bestow me with the Holy Guidance, Hidayah
I’m seeking dearly, humbly for Your Redha,
Your Redha is my Absolute Salvation,
I’m praying hard, I’m crying hard, I’m yearning hard for…
Redha Ilahi.

..:: O MUSLIM! ::.. [Written by: Shyma Habeeb]
O muslim!
You are rightly guided
With the sacred words of Allah.
You are strongely unified
With the unique power of Allah.
Then why?
O muslim, why?
Why do you let the Kuffar
Drive your faith away?
Why do you let your feet
Blindly go astray?
O muslim!
You are Allah’s creation
And are given bounty therein.
You are brought down here
To guard nature’s sheen.
Then why?
O muslim, why?
Why do you hurt your Master
by dirtying nature from pollution?
Why cant you be thankfull to Him
and protect His bountifull creation?
O muslim!
You are given the guidelines
For the perfect life on earth.
You are shown the Path
For a wonderful life after earth.
Then why?
O muslim, why?
Why do you alter this
Divine path of Islam?
Why do you not accept the
True teachings of Islam?
O muslim!
You are taught the Shahaadah
The essence of Tawheed.
You are asked to pray, to fast
And help the one in need.
Then why?
O muslim, why?
Why do you turn to one other than Allah?
Why do you go against the Shahaadah?
Why do you fake your fast and prayer?
Why do you be the selfish believer?
O muslim!
You are given 12 months
To do good, be good and get good.
Twelve months to perfect your faith
And do the deeds that you should.
Then why?
O muslim, why?
Why do you do your duties
Only in the month of Ramadhaan?
Or only on the 10th of Muharram
Or the 15th of Sha’abaan?
O muslim!
You have time to watch the TV
Time to listen to music and read books.
You waste energy in unnecessary talks
And care only for your status and looks.
Then why?
O muslim, why?
Why do you call yourself a Mu’min?
Why do you possess the Qur’an?
Why don’t you talk about Islam ?
Why don’t you care for your Eemaan?
O muslim!
You are to be Allah’s followers
You are the one Allah loves.
You are made with a goal
To do only what Allah loves.
Then why?
O muslim, why?
Why don’t you recognize His will?
Why don’t you accept His choice?
Why don’t you walk straight on His path?
Why don’t you make yourself poise?
There are many things to ponder,
Many stones to turn over.
There is the one sole way of life
And then there is the afterlife.
There is only one God to believe
And He is the only source of relief.
There is only one religion, one Deen.
And that O Muslim, is your only way
To stay away from Shayateen.
No more time to waste
In haraam and in the acts of Shirk.
This life is too short
To remain ignorant and be at risk.
Why don’t you follow Allah
With a sincere and pure heart?
When will you learn that
Very soon this world will go apart.
There is no time to waste further.
Prepare for a life in the hereafter.
Prepare in every hour, every minute
And in every second of this journey.
Because you have only one chance
To prove your faith and loyalty.
O muslim, Allah loves you for what you are.
So don’t pretend and try to mock those astray.
Allah knows all and is above all the heavens.
Watching your every move, be it night or day.
So be that what Allah wants of you.
To your Lord and to yourself, always be true.
No matter how they test you and your patience.
Allah will grant you strength and confidence.
Don’t leave space for Shaytaan
And shape your Deen on the whole.
Purify yourself and your Eemaan
Because this, O muslim, is your ultimate goal.

..:: Allah’s plans………..? ::… [Author: Unknown]
Some things are beyond planning.
And life doesn’t always turn out as planned.
You don’t plan for a broken heart.
You don’t plan for an autistic child.
You don’t plan for spinsterhood.
You don’t plan for a lump in your breast.
You plan to be young forever.
You plan to climb the corporate ladder.
You plan to be rich and powerful.
You plan to be acclaimed and successful.
You plan to conquer the universe.
You plan to fall in love – and be loved forever.
You don’t plan to be sad.
You don’t plan to be hurt.
You don’t plan to be broke.
You don’t plan to be betrayed.
You don’t plan to be alone in this world.
You plan to be happy.
You don’t plan to be shattered .
Sometimes if you work hard enough, you can get what you want.
But MOST times, what you want and what you get are two different things.
We, mortals, plan.
But so does Allah (subhan wa ta’aala) in the heavens.
Sometimes, it is difficult to understand Allah’s plans…
especially when His plans are not in consonance with ours .
Often, when He sends us crisis, we turn to Him in anger.
True, we cannot choose what Allah wishes us to carry,
but we can carry it with courage knowing that He will never abandon us
nor send something we cannot cope with .
Sometimes, Allah breaks our spirit to save our soul.
Sometimes, He breaks our heart to make us whole.
Sometimes, He allows pain so we can be stronger.
Sometimes, Allah sends us failure so we can be humble.
Sometimes, He allows illness so we can take better care of ourselves.
And sometimes, Allah takes everything away from us…
so we can learn the value of everything He gave us
Make plans, but understand that we live by Allah’s grace.
Although they plan, Allah also plans. And Allah is the Best of Planners.
[Holy Qur’an 8:30]

..:: Al-Habib ::… [Author: Talib al Habib]
Shine your mercy like the sun, and be gracious as the earth
Let your kindness come like rain that cares not whom it falls upon
And let ocean deep your wisdom be, your heart and lanterns spreading peace
Give yourself in love of Him, be like al-habib
And in your deepest needs and in your deepest grieve, call on Him in humility
Place your trust in the One, to whom creation turns
You’ll find redemption and find peace
Be a blazing fire of truth, be a soothing balm of peace
With the light of your sincerity, break the clouds of tyranny
Let your faith be like a blessed tree, give your shade to all who seek
May your roots run true and deep, take your strength from al-habib
And all the certainty will bring tranqulity, contentment with Allaah’s decree…Give thanks for all that comes, be patient and know that someday you will return to Him
Hold fast to the company of the folk of certainty
Through the gaze and through your love for them,
May you be as one of them…
Be as gentle as the whispering breeze, spread solace to the world we’re in…Let your heart and soul be mirror clear, give life and love to al-habib
And stand before Allaah like nothing else exists, and worship Him like you are seen..be with all creation and all your deeds and words
as though you have no self to clean
Yet when you master all of this, forget not your neediness
Were it not for Allaah’s grace, none of this can be achieved
So be humble as the lonley earth, that all creatures walk up on
Be the slave of the Most Merciful, take your light from al habib
So shine your mercy like the sun, send your light across the earth
Let your kindness flow like rivers, quench the thirst of all who come
And let mountain strong your spirit be,
Let your heart melt out of love for Him…
Take the road that leads to Him,
May you be with al-habib……..
La ilaha il-Allaah Muhammadun Rasulullah, alayhi salatullah wa alihi wal ahibba….
La ilaha il-Allaah Muhammadun Rasulullah, alayhi salatullah wa alihi wal ahibba….

..:: Striving Heaven ::.. [Written by: Salma Omar]
For You I live and for You I’ll die,
in this life do my best and try
Stay on that path You have prescribed
not that which society in my head has imbibed
Every good deed I do is in Your name
because for Your great heavens is what I aim
I thank You for the blessings You’ve given
and for all sins and bad deeds You have forgiven
I thank You for always being by my side
led me and been my One and only Guide
I pray all good I do You approve
and always in my deen and iman I improve
Only You in this world do I praise
every time I pray and my hands I raise
I hope that in my mind will always be the hereafter
and the characteristics of the prophet’s wives I take after
I hope on Qiyamah I’ll receive my book in my right
and stand with my face shining so bright
Inshallah by those who do good I will stand
and away from the acts of those which You have banned
Grant me the Jannahs in which rivers flow
and please make my soul and face on that day glow.
For You I will always be a slave
through the hardships and high waves
So Allah… for Your forgiveness I plea
because Your mercy and forgiveness are the only key
To Your heavens which You’ve promised to the righteous believers
and not Jahannam promised to the nonbeliever

..:: Don’t You Know??? ::.. [Written by: Kolchuma Begum]
Don’t you know???
That one day you’re going to leave this world and go.
So haven’t you ever thought,
What’s going to happen to you in Allah’s court?
You might not think its relevant now,
But Allah’s going to question when did you prostrate and bow?
So you see,
That this world is only temporary.
So cherish every moment,
Even when you are in mistreatment,
Because life is the ultimate test.
And Allah knows the very best.
Now all you have to do
Is place your trust in Allah,
And He’ll be there for you.
Remember to keep Allah in your heart,
So you don’t fall apart,
Because the hardest thing will be
When you say, why did this happen to me?
And you’re going to want answers,
When things don’t go your way
But you’ve forgotten that Allah’s already given you chances,
Then what will you say?
Just repent, and ask for forgiveness
Because Allah is the One who gives happiness.
So, I hope you understood,
That there will be good,
If you just be faithful
And Allah will be most Grateful.
Now that you see,
All you need to be
Is Allah’s devoted Slave,
Then it’ll be you, whom He will save.

..:: I Reverte Repentant ::.. [Written by: Memo Memoty, Iraq]
I want people to know me
Hear and listen to my stories
I will write about myself
In my poetry and poems
Has always been “Allah Akbar” banner
The top of my banners
I reverted repentant to the Lord of the throne
With my actions but not words
O, God
Take away my pains and sorrows
My prayers and begging
Only to the Lord of the universe
He knows my sins
He knows my faults
Forgive me mighty God
I have been betrayed by my caprices
But I promise You from now and on
To control my lusts
I’m the weak servant in Your hands
And You are the Only One whom I beg with my words
And Your prophet, Mohamed the master of Creation
Only he is my first ideal
His morals are a crown on my head
And because of his shari’a I step my steps
Glad, I went back to the Quran
Because do not serve me, the songs
I’m thinking in the universe
Rise into the sky, my looks
I remembered the power of God
Like the rain fallen my tears
And when I remembered the love of Islam
Forgotten all wishes and my hobbies
And good work for humanity
Be the top of my list is now how I’m going to spend my times
Prayer and fasting and worship
Become the most important and elevate desires
To enter the paradise
This is my most great wishes
And if it had been in my hand
I would gave the poor people every things I have
Cause my poverty
Their suffering becomes mine
I’m asking for all the happiness and good to them
And comforting them hoping to help my sympathies
O God, O the Great, O the Generous
I’m calling You hoping to help my calls
Be mercy upon the Muslims
Both the lives and deaths
And save my Dad and mom for me
Cause they are the reason of my impetrating
And I beg You also to save my darling,
Cause she is the dearest one of my dears
She has stood by my side
When I was immersed with my tragedies
And save my little brother Ahmad
And let him be my companion if I get to paradise
And save my friends and my dears
From the wicked self of me and of follies
Bad Friend taught me
Be to the others my laughs
How is pretty than my mother!!
How else better than her deserves my smiles!!
Because of her I got the happiness
And she always feels my pains
She was my powerful and blessed mizzen
When I sank in the sadness seas
Her prayers for me are
The first cause of the reasons of soliloquies
Let me say “La ellah ela Allah”
When my boos happens
And let me be at my home and among my people
Breathe the last breath when I’m dying
And be mercy and intercede for me
And make my mom and lover patience after my death

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Then Which of the Favours of Your Lord Will You (both Mankind & Jinns) deny”
(Ar-Rahman {The Beneficient, The Mercy Giving} 55:13)
Note:
“And Allah has created every animal from water: of them there are some that creep on their bellies; some that walk on two legs; and some that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills: for verily Allah has power over all things.”
(Al-Nur {The Light} 24:45).
“And we sent down the Iron, in which there is strength and many benefits for the people” (Al Hadeed, 57:25) (Al-Hadeed even means Iron…today we know this has much benefits, i.e. needed in blood)
“He has created man” (Ar-Rahman 55:3).
“The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed” (Ar-Rahman 55:5).
“And the herbs and the trees – both (alike) prostrate in adoration.”(Ar-Rahman 55: 6)
“It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures” (Ar-Rahman 55:10)
“Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates)” (Ar-Rahman 55:11)
“He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together” (Ar-Rahman 55:19)
“Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress” (Ar-Rahman 55:20).
The list is endless….all those who are not familiar….read Surah Ar-Rahman….so beautiful, always be thankful for all these things Allaah has mentioned in the Quran….
All praise is to Allaah truly the Quran speaks the truth, unique…
..:: ALLAH IS WATCHING ::.. [Written by: Tehzeeb]
There’s not a secret you can hide
There’s not a way you can lie.
You think you can skip prayers..
They say: who cares?.
You listen to songs
But oh how you are wrong.
You seem so happy
But inside your head
You’re full of dread.
Yes, Allah is Watching.
Do you know it is all written?
Nothing you are gettin’
It seems you’re full of regret
You sweat as there is some threat
It’s time for you to ask for forgiveness
You are a false witness.
Allah is all Merciful.
Does Allah not know what you do?
What you hide?
There is time for forgiveness
Until the soul reaches the throat
It is the word that Allah write.
So ask for mercy
Bow down to your Lord
You will surely cry
Many tears in your eyes
Then Allah does bless you
For He is oft-Forgiving and oft-Merciiful.
Do you then realize..
That all this time..
You are doing a great crime?
And that Allah knows
because…
ALLAH IS WATCHING….
..:: No One but Allah ::.. [Written by: Khurram Malik]
Who filled the world with light?
Who raised the mountain high?
Who raises us when we die?
No one but Allah.
Who sees inside your soul?
Who hears you when you call?
Who helps you when you fall?
No one but Allah.
Who fashioned us of clay?
Who showed us the right way?
Who hears us when we pray?
No one but Allah.
Who made the rivers flow?
Who taught the stars to glow?
Who sends the winds that blow?
No one but Allah.
All praise is to Allah,
All glory is to Allah,
We worship Allah and,
No one but Allah.
Give Him a word
One word
And you’ll drown with its meaning
You’ll sink with its lovely essence
Dumbfounded, you’ll think your dreaming
Give Him a word
One word
And He’ll craft a work of art
Design an untold masterpeice
Deep rooted in your heart
Give Him a word
One word
And you’ll shine with its brilliance
Glow beautifully in its depth
A story filled with magnificence
Give Him a word
One word
And you’ll know what it means to smile
To Laugh, to love, to live
To go that extra mile
Give Him a word
One word
And you’ll see the essence of your being
The wonders of what lies around you
The fragility of this life your living
Give Him a word
One word
And trust that nothing will be missed
Give Him a word
Just one word
BE!’
And it is…
